Marinate the chicken with oyster sauce, turmeric powder, and cornstarch.
Gently fry the marinated chicken in hot oil for a short while. Do not let it get too crispy as it might become tough.
Remove the chicken and drain the excess oil.
In the same pan, sauté garlic until fragrant.
Add a little water, salt, MSG, and soy sauce to make the broth.
Return the chicken to the pan, stir-fry quickly over high heat.
Sprinkle sliced spring onions on top before serving.
Serve with steamed rice and optionally chopped chili or hard-boiled eggs.
